How I Can Help

Since studying a culinary diploma with the medicinal chef Dale Pinnock, I’ve been helping my clients find their optimal wellness through developing a deeper understanding of their habits and lifestyle choices and adapting their food choices to ones that regain health and vitality. As a certified Culinary Consultant, I aim to create easy food options that prioritize your well-being, heal and celebrate all aspects of your true self. It’s time to start nurturing your body with pure soul food again.

Group Wellness

Empowering Retreats

These retreat days are a combination of yoga practice, hypnotherapy and nutrition. We want to create a day where your body and mind can heal with beautiful yoga poses and the mind be allowed to relax and gain tips to keep the peacefulness ongoing. We will create and eat nutritious foods that show how easy it is maintain a healthy and strong body. The retreat days will focus on various genres including perimenopause/menopause, teenage nutrition, fatigue and long covid.

Teenage Nutrition Workshop

A Personal Approach

This workshop is designed for parents and teenagers to gain a greater knowledge of ideal foods to ensure clear healthy skin, shiny strong hair, balanced moods and enabling focus for studies.

This course provides you with skills and awareness to empower your teenager to get through these rollercoaster years with ease. 

The course is designed with a presentation and then a chance to create beautiful Buddha bowls together all the while learning about the nutritional qualities of various ingredients and their individual powers

These individual sessions give me the opportunity to find out the changes you wish to make or issues that need to be addressed. Such as sleeping better, balancing hormones or improving moods.

The next stage involves my creation of a realistic food journey for my clients to follow, this ensures that the method really works.

This is followed by an implementation process, working with my clients, batch cooking and a fun kitchen experience really inspiring in a practical way.

Healing Dumpling Workshop

This workshop is conducted in a beautiful bell tent which perfectly creates a space for 8 friends to come together to chat, master the art of making dumplings from scratch and learn about the healing ingredient fillings. Once the dumplings are made, my clients experience a beautiful sound bath meditation by Hayley at Crystals and Sounds whilst the dumplings are cooked and prepared alongside a nutritious lunch of Asian coleslaw and kimchi. This interactive cooking workshop is all about friendship and community. The process is mindful, creative and productive. Come and enjoy some Collective Effervescence at my Healing Dumpling Workshop. I approached Andrea with a twofold problem which I had failed to resolve anywhere else and was beginning to feel very negative about.

Firstly, my teenage daughter had been diagnosed with anorexia and had a terrible relationship with food as a result – she was questioning everything she ate (calorie wise) and had given up meat and protein so trying to get balance in her was a problem. This was a challenge eagerly accepted by Andrea.


She started by writing a very comprehensive food document that was informative for us to read and worked as a basis for the workshop that was to follow. We filled in all that we liked and did not like and sent it back to Andrea.


The workshop itself was both light and educational – being a Mum of teens herself Andrea managed to get the kids engaged with the idea of how food can help “from inside out” and how certain foods can feed both the mind and body – and of course teenage skin. We then prepared and subsequently sat down to eat the colourful food bowls that we had created all together and Esme came home with a newfound desire and knowledge that we still stick to this day!


 


Within the session Andrea also pointed out to me the various foods that would be beneficial for me with the menopause. Mood swings, anxiety and a feeling of worthlessness had pretty much become a constant companion and I wanted to research another method of how to manage and tackle this without having to resort to drugs. I don’t always manage to stick to the food plan she suggested – but when I do I notice and difference almost immediately.


 


In short, I cannot recommend Andrea highly enough – she isn’t a total puritan and therefore nothing in her teachings make you feel silly. She has simply shown our family a new way of eating healthy – which is a good recipe for life 😊

I consulted Andrea when I contracted Covid and she prepared juices and meals for me to help me throughout my illness and to speed up my recovery. She had a tailored approach and provided me with the information I also needed to ensure I had the vitamins and nutrients I needed to boost my immune system and strength longer term. I had been suffering with m.e/cfs for just over a year when I reached out to Andrea. I was convinced that food was a path to help cure my illness and had over that time dramatically changed what I ate and how I viewed food, but I had lost interest in what I was eating and had difficulty pulling meals together. Andrea really went out of her way to understand and research my misunderstood condition and create a weekly menu that was really delicious but also varied, while introducing me to many new ingredients and drinks (many of which I had not had before). She also explained the reasoning behind each of my meals and why they were in the menu which was structured as a weekly meal plan.

For anyone with a ‘Chronic condition’ I really do recommend Andrea, her energy, kindness and caring personality shines through her menus.

About Me

Wholehearted Commitment

My Culinary and Nutritional History.

I spent an amazing 12 years employed as a stewardess for BA, working mainly in the first class galley traveling the long haul destinations of the world experiencing many different foods and cultures.

I Left BA to become a mother and while the kids were young we bought a house in Portugal where we spent a lot of time. 

This didn’t enhance my culinary skills but it was at this point one of my best friends got sick with cancer and gave me the realization that life is short or it can be,  and that it really is important to look after yourself with healthy eating, exercise, reduction in stress  and a balance in everything.

In Portugal I made some new friends who were interested in wellness and holistic practices from all over the world and this opened my mind to researching different medicinal ideas. 

I then embarked on a home learning mission studying

Alkaline Nutrition, Master Herbalist  Diploma Course, Naturopath Diploma and a Hygge Diploma 

I also had an opportunity to work with Andreas Zangel a Michelin award winning chef in Taormina in Sicily in his restaurant kitchen where he taught me how to make Pasta, fillet fish and cook amazing foods. 

We moved back to the Uk in September 2019 just before covid. At this point I realized I wished to study Culinary Medicine and learn how foods influence the healing of many chronic diseases and also aid in the wellness and happiness of my friends, family and clients.
